Destination Guides

I only write guides for the places I know deeply. I don’t think just visiting a place makes me qualified to write a guide about it. I save my guides for places that I’ve been to many times, and feel I’ve discovered unique and wonderful recommendations.

I’m not going to tell you about the famous sites in a city or give you a tour of its history; there are already tons of resources out there for that. My guides share the places that make a destination special. For example, the unassuming wine shop that dates back centuries with lore and history, the tried and true restaurants that I visit every time I’m in a place, or the elusive muziekboot - a special Amsterdam sighting you might otherwise miss.

I write guides for travellers like me, people who love good food, and authentic experiences. My guides highlight the places I actually enjoy and would recommend to my friends and family.
